Conrad Murray at Penn State and Syracuse University

Conrad Murray - Coach Jerry Sandusky - Coach Bernie Fine - Coach Paterno - Mrs Laurie Fine

The penalty phase of the Conrad Murray trial today for the death of Michael Jackson had some notes that bound Dr. Conrad Murray and the above named pedophilia defendants. Murray's attorneys stated that Dr.  Murray did a lot of good over his lifetime, and especially during the last eight years, where he was helping low-income people who had cardiac problems. Dr. Murray saved lives.

Nevertheless, the judge, Michael Pastor, threw the book at Murray stating although Murray did many wonderful things, his bad repetitive actions in the treatment of Michael Jackson and his lack of remorse, compounded by the many lies and hiding of evidence made Murray a very real and big danger to society.

I say this because the students and staff at Penn State University and the students and staff at Syracuse University seem to negate the sodomy and many harms created by these pedophiles against the young children, who were victims, and state the great way the perverts were able to coach teams and make money allow them to be above the law and able to abuse others at will. Many in the Penn State University and Syracuse University communities have no understanding of the ethical standards that are required by those who accept positions of responsibility, like doctors, attorneys, congressmen, parents, teachers and, yes, even coaches - even if they win and are rich. Predators watch kids closely and pounce on those who have family problems or who want to be a part of a group, like the team. The kids are groomed for extended periods of time, then the predator, having exerted his/her power, begins the crimes - over and over again.

I urge all who feel the victim children deserved the sodomy and those who feel the coaches should be allowed to have their sodomy and others abuses overlooked, to listen to the words of Judge Pastor today. I am sure some students at Penn State University and some at Syracuse University will want to become doctors someday. Listen to the words of the judge and apply it to your own situation. You, in the end, are not judged by the good things you did in the past, but by your on-going, intentional, repetitive bad behavior that injured, and in some cases, killed others- especially if there is no remorse, honesty, caring or evidence of change. Look at these victims and examine how you would feel if the victim was your child or your brother/ sister, or your mother. Child predators are a very real danger to society and the victims tend to have life-long problems..

Help cure this devilish cult of crime and silence and work towards making Penn State University, Syracuse University, our churches, and other places safe and healthy and fit for kids.

Dr Conrad Murray and Michael Jackson - my view

Dr. Conrad Murray's continual denial of any culpability for Michael Jackson's death is ridiculous. It just shows how some people can create their own world and live totally is unreality. Yes, he must get away from patients. He has spent so many years blaming his patients for everything, he can not accept responsibility for his own improper actions and misconceptions. Every doctor must have the ability to admit mistakes and strive to do better.

First, Conrad Murray says he did not know Michael Jackson was a drug abuser. This is unbelievable. Everyone knew Jackson had some sort of drug problem. Just because Michael did not use the exact words, "I am a drug addict," can not erase the fact that Jackson just by demanding Propofol gave a statement (to anyone who worked with addicts) "I am definitely a drug addict." Jackson only wanted Murray because Jackson found he could be easily manipulated by money and access.

Murray gives a million reasons why he did not call 911. The truth is, his girlfriend was on his cell phone and he could have easily told her to call 911 because Michael was having a problem. No excuses - the 911call was a must because Murray was totally unprepared. As a cardiologist, Murray must have extra portable EKG machines and monitors in his office, yet none were used. This expertise is what Jackson was paying for. He did not want "crack house care." Murray never checked Jackson's medical history. Murray never did lab work, an EKG or chest x-ray. I knew the story would be bad after Murray said he applied lotion to Jackson's body after Jackson showered. This is very abnormal - especially for a cardiologist. Why did Jackson not apply his own lotion - too tired?

I am going to go over only the last actions of Murray on that sorrowful day. I will only cover the time starting from Murray consenting to give Propofol. The reports are that the oxygen tank in the room was empty and the rescue breathing apparatus was not in place. These was an oxygen mask on the floor, but no statements that the mask was ever used. So, before you give a medication that could cause a major problem, as a doctor, he had a duty to have all of the rescue apparatus assembled and working and the rescue medications out. Actually, there are a lot of people who get these important jobs, such as air control operators, who fall asleep when they are supposed to be monitoring a situation. So, Murray should have had a nurse in the room also for back-up and assistance, as needed. Watching a person sleep can be very boring and the mind can wander. Murray takes no medical notes for over two months. Murray never took Jackson's vital signs or a quick EKG. This is crazy and ridiculous. It is also illegal to secretly record patients. Consent was not given for the recording of Michael or for the medications and procedures..

Granted, Propofol is short acting, but we can not trust Murray's words as to what happened in the room. Only a crazy person would order gallons of Propofol over a few months for a single patient for poorly monitored daily bedroom IV administration.

Michael returned home at 1 o'clock AM from the Staples rehearsal. Murray admits Jackson looked "dead" before he gave him the Propofol ("like in Thriller"), yet no physical examination. Murray admitted he gave enough medication to Jackson  "to put an elephant to sleep" - before he gave the Propofol. Around 2 AM the drugs started -  valium, lorezapam, medazalam, versed and who knows what else.

Murray said he gave the IV Propofol, felt it had worn off, so he went to the bathroom and made a phone call. He never checked his breathing or heart. This is just crazy. If you must go to the bathroom, you go BEFORE you administer a drug. Jackson wants to sleep, the last thing he wants is to hear Murray jabbering on the phone to his girlfriend. No wonder Jackson had insomnia, the environment was totally non-conducive to sleep. Jackson never thought he would be abandoned. By the time Murray ambled back into the bedroom, still talking to a girlfriend, Jackson's heart rate was said to be 120 and Jackson was not breathing. All Jackson needed was respirations  Instead, Murray gives mouth-to-mouth, good only if you are a pedestrian and find someone unconscious - never used by medical professionals. Then, unbelievably, he gives chest compressions. This was the totally wrong thing to do, Michael had a heartbeat. By giving chest compressions, Murray stopped Jackson's heart. Now, probably with cracked ribs, Jackson is a total Code Blue and a few minutes from death. Still, only Murray is present and no respirations.

The remaining acts of calling a housekeeper, whose main concern was getting a smoothie in the refrigerator for Jackson,  for assistance and getting Jackson's scared son is an unbelievable scene to picture. Delaying getting all of the security officers to help and call 911 and more, is terrible, but too late. Jackson is dead. Murray tries to blame Security Officer Alverez for the emergency help delays. It is normal for a non-medical person to be shocked that his employer and mega-star is getting CPR in the bedroom and now Murray is demanding Alvarez give CPR, and call 911, and clean the room. Alvarez bears no fault.

Let's say there was a chance to save Jackson twenty minutes later. Murray reports to the emergency medical team that he witnessed Jackson "go down." To emergency responders, this means a heart attack, or similar event - NOT drug overdose. So, the emergency response team was treating for the wrong terminal event. They think he collapsed from a cardiac event in front of Murray after a stressful and long rehearsal. So, the emergency team is not fully treating the patient because Murray lied about how Jackson got into this situation.

Murray's denials are maddening. His claims are absurd. He had no knowledge or skills with addiction or neurology. He was used to treating low-income seniors for chronic heart problems. He was used to having patients die. He has no business getting involved as a physician with any other patients in the future.

Michael could never have completed this run of shows. He had been avoiding performances for years. Jackson looked terrible at his last child-abuse trial - thin, coming in his pajamas, getting assistance with walking and even going to a hospital. Murray had the ability to change the rehearsal schedule, as the doctor. Instead he worked against Michael by pushing him to persist with the schedule.

What killed Michael Jackson? Failure to plan for an emergency, poor medical care, multi-drug overload with the doctor distracted and abandoning the patient, rendering improper medical rescue care, failure to call 911 immediately, and abandoning care again as the doctor cleaned the room and ran for help (instead of the cell phone), and false reports to emergency rescuers as to the true medical situation.

Jackson's defense team has pretty good days

Today, in the Conrad Murray trial, the prosecution tried to say Michael Jackson was not addicted to drugs, in particular Demerol which was given by a dermatologist, Dr. Arnold Kline for Botox and Restylane injections of the forehead, cheeks and nose.
As the medical reports were read, it appeared the small cosmetic injections were probably just a ruse to cover  giving significant amounts of Demerol to Jackson.Having dealt with addictive persons, I can attest that addicts always have more than one source for drugs. Who were Jackson's other suppliers, we will never know.
The defense has been successful in showing Jackson was in need of drugs and due to his contractual obligations, would have been unable to attend regular detox, even if he had wanted to go. Another witness was a doctor who conducted the initial US research studies on Propofol. He stated Propofol was a better sedative then operative anesthetic, but the company wanted Propofol to be developed only for operations and medical procedures. I am surprised how well the defense team is able to defend the doctor.

Michael Jackson - conspiracy of secrecy

The Dr. Conrad Murray case methodically moves on. Today, one of the doctors involved in Propofol research and an anesthesiologist gave hours of damning testimony. He called Dr. Murray everything negative under the sun. The prosecution repeatedly laid out 13 or more seriously medical negligent acts by Dr. Murray in treating Michael Jackson. The defense has been setting out its side throughout the trial. But the hurdles are too great.
What the defense can say is Dr. Murray was sucked into this scheme. Clearly, this is not what Murray should have been involved with in any way. The case is crushing. I get fatigued just listening to the situation.
I feel sorry that Michael, deep into addiction, needed help. Yet, his show producers, the insurance company and the doctors all failed him. In spite of all of his money and connections, he was alone, making bad judgments at a time when he needed effective help. Michael always thought he was going to die from a drug overdose, like his idol Elvis. He created the scenario that made his prediction come true. Michael Jackson was a very smart person who became an icon. I'm sure Michael knew that taking all of those meds intravenously nightly would lead to death eventually. During Michael's last child molestation court appearance, he appeared very thin and ill. He had may days when he physically could not get to court, he wore pajamas, he went to the hospital. Michael appeared to be near death's door. He was eating small healthy meals, starving, and abusing drugs - that combination never works. In short, Michael was, for whatever reasons, dying. He chose Dr. Murray to complete the action.
LaToya says it was a murder conspiracy. Who knows. Many people internationally wanted Michael's money. In the end, we will all know the last minutes of Michael's life and Michael lost his privacy and secrecy - one of the things he cherished most. But, he still has the secrets of his thoughts.

Dr Murray defense reels in Jackson trial

The Michael Jackson death trial is historic in a very odd way. This is the first trial I have ever heard of where millions are being spent to prove Michael Jackson, a Black male, received poor medical care. Blacks in America are often subject to inferior medical care for various reasons. In this case, everyone is angry that Michael Jackson received inferior care. I'm moved and I think America has graduated to a new level of humanity.
I listened to the trial today, and the Dr. Murray defense team was sent reeling from the numerous accusations of negligence. The story was laid out clearly and I know Dr. Murray was watching his career fly out the courtroom window. Feelings were clear and the medical professionals who testified about the standard of care deviations were adamant that Dr. Murray has no defense in this case and was absolutely the direct cause of Michael Jackson's death.
True, this trial still involves a Black male as the defendant, but to have the State prosecutors advocating that Michael deserved better medical care is historic. It brings a tear to my eye. I hope all minorities will take note and realize that they deserve great medical care too.
Probably the most hurtful testimony against Dr. Murray came from the California Medical Board Medical Review Officer. This person has control of his state medical license and things look grim.
The real zinger of the Jackson case is that Dr Murray could have helped himself and reduced his problems if he had told his girlfriend, who was listening on the phone, to CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY. What a difference that act might have made.
It is a shame that Dr. Murray got caught up in this high finance web of providing medications casually to a suspected drug abuser, Michael. Dr. Murray's talents are needed in many parts of the world and he is highly trained. He just went wild once he entered this world of money and excess. He developed a big head and set aside his medical training. I think he is seeing things much more clearly in the courtroom.
