Sandusky loose for holidays
After being charged by numerous past child associates of pedophilia, harassment and sodomy, Jerry Sandusky was finally arrested. The next day, he was able to post bail and was released to his home. The police in Pennsylvania say Sandusky will wear a monitor and was warned to stay away from kids and his accusers. So, Sandusky will wear an ankle monitor and be stuck in his house and basement, the place where he is accused of committing the illegal acts for many years in the first place. As I am informed, Sandusky's children are adopted and there are questions as to whether they were also victims. Will they be stuck in the house with DAD for Christmas??

Merry Christmas God
An unhappy Republican stated he was even unhappier because President Obama did not mention "God" in his speech. Well statesmen today, may not because they realize they are the leader of many different people with different names for "God." I know many who are often speaking of God, yet they are committing crimes or bigoted or controlled by money and hate. It is not the mentioning of God that is important, it is your everyday actions to your spouse, family, and community. If the words are not explicitly spelled out, look between the lines and look at the actions and life of the speaker. I can not think of a better family role model than the Obama family. Living in front of the world is difficult and living a daily godly life is even harder.
I remember when President Obama stated he was ending the war in Iraq. President Bush started the war looking for weapons after 9/11, and after no weapons were found, he continued the war for profit. Now, President Obama stated he was going to stop the killing on both sides. After he said those words, thousands of troops and military families yelled "Thank God!"
A child asked, is President Obama God? I said, no, but sometimes God works through President Obama. This Christmas most of our troops will be spending Christmas in the good 'ole USA. I hope everyone will hang "Welcome Home Troops, the war is over - Thank you for your service" ribbons and signs outside their homes. (Now here is a job for some needy artists - I haven't seen any for sale.)
If you are unhappy with President Obama and Michelle, wait until you hear about Newt Gingrich. Hold on to your hats and cover the kid's eyes and ears. I guess Newt thought it was godly to discuss divorce with his wife as she recovered from cancer surgery in the hospital.
Anyway - Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanza, Feliz Navidad - I can add more, but some people will never be happy. God Bless you, and Peace on Earth...and let it begin with me.

Congress fails AGAIN
How can America rise from the recession and decrease the deficit if the Congress, Democrats and Republicans, can not make any decisions? The congressional Republicans want to protect the wealthiest 2% of Americans and will not allow any increase of the multimillionaires and billionaires.
Now there will be $2 trillion dollars tax of automatic financial cuts of domestic and defense spending starting in 2014. Family financial supports will also end. This will be a hard hit and no one will be happy! Congress must talk and arrive at a balanced plan. By not acting and not making a decision , Congress has voted for tax increases for everyone, including the wealthiest. Everyone will pay $1,000 or more in taxes because of our dysfunctional Congress.
Today, Congress, as is the norm, is taking a holiday work break. Representing constituents in Congress is a voluntary position. If you can not do the job, you need to stop going to Congress and get another job or start a business in your local area to decrease unemployment.
The minute people get elected to Congress, they begin the political games and sell out the local interests in favor of high-paying lobbyists. We saw that with Jeff Denham's election. After he won, he went to Washington, DC and threw a private $250,000 party for Republicans and lobbyists, using money from the Central Valley - one of the poorest places in California.
Register to vote and vote them OUT!!!!!

You're the best gift of all
If you would die tomorrow, what would people tell about what you meant to your world? This is a question which haunts most of us throughout our lives. We all want to have a meaningful life. Of course, a meaningful life has a different meaning for every person. Most of us will not be remembered by the nation or the world. Many will not even be really remembered in their city or town. We can be remembered by our family, who will carry memories of you for many years to come. Hopefully, your story will have an impact, maybe it will motivate.
I had an uncle Bill who left a legacy of jokes and fun times. I can't even think about him without smiling. His death also had an impact on me because he died of restrictive lung disease which came from smoking and jobs which exposed him to occupational pollutants. I am glad that I had an opportunity to know him.
That is the same impact we can all have. We can create great memories by telling your life stories. During the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, I hope you will sit in the living room or at the dining room table and tell some of your tales. I can assure you the kids and others will love them and it will open you up to closer family relationships.
We must stop the predators
Joseph Son, 40, was convicted of one count of torture in August after his DNA linked him to the abduction of a then-19-year-old victim as she walked her dog near her apartment on Christmas Eve.
Son and a co-defendant, Santiago Lopez Gaitan, 40, drove the woman to Huntington Beach at gunpoint, where they raped and sodomized her in the back of the car. They repeatedly threatened to kill her, hitting her with the pistol and telling her she was going to die.
The badly injured woman begged for her life, prosecutors said, and the two men released her naked and blindfolded with her own pants.
Police collected DNA evidence, but couldn't match it to her attackers until Son was required to provide a DNA sample after he pleaded guilty to felony vandalism in 2008 and violated probation.
Son's co-defendant was sentenced to 17 years and four months in state prison after he pleaded guilty in January to five felonies, including kidnapping and sodomy by force in concert.

Apple iPad vs Kindle Fire
Apple's 10-inch, 16GB iPad vs the 7-inch, 8GB first-generation Amazon Kindle Fire.
Both a called tablets, so which one to choose after you decide you want to buy a tablet.
Unless you're a banker or a Wall Street scammer and doing really well this recession, it would be hard to justify shelling out money for both an iPad (at $499) which has been out for 18 months
and a Kindle Fire (which costs $199). The iPad has a bigger screen, more apps, and more memory.
The Kindle Fire has advantages over the iPad. The biggest advantage is the price. At $199 it makes real financial sense and most people will not even enjoy all of the benefits of their Apple iPad, before the next model appears on the shelves at another $700.00. I love to read Google books because it remembers my last page. Well, Kindle Fire does the same thing with books, TV shows and movies. You don't have to lose your spot. It also has Flash.
Considering the price difference, I would go for a $200 model in this economy and consider an updated iPad in later.years. I don't like the 8GB memory though. Yes, the kids will feel inferior against the rich kids, but the parents will not be into bigger debt, there are fewer problems if it is lost or stolen and the kids can still get their work onto the Kindle Fire. Other models are lowering prices to meet the Kindle Fire and we just might see a good price war for Christmas. So, I say wait for the holiday price changes, then decide what works best for you.

ELZABETH EDWARDS FAREWELL TO A NINJA WARRIOR
ELZABETH EDWARDS FAREWELL TO A NINJA WARRIOR
Elizabeth Edwards ended a exciting life story on December 7th. At the young age of 61, her body could take no more. As a young woman, Elizabeth took the hard road of college and then law school. She had her own legal practice. She was clearly a role model and a pioneer for the education of women. Her daughter also became an attorney. Her oldest son died. In her late forties, she decided to have two more children - perhaps this was a stimulus to her eventually developing her fatal breast cancer.
Elizabeth was a ninja. She could swing the sword and dodge an attack. Her beauty in her youth is undeniable and she carried her beauty and grace into her final years.
Unfortunately, with all of her accomplishments, she will be most remembered for her battle at home between her, her husband John and his sexual partner who John paid with our hard-earned public money. Yes, John was really a "John" paying for sex.
Confronted with her cancer Elizabeth came out swinging. She was fierce and she focused on the goal - beat the cancer and live for her family. She was not a victim. She learned to live with the diagnosis and the numerous negative comments she received from well-wishers and the media. Elizabeth was certain she was winning. She felt all were really on her side . She never expected her biggest opponent was lurking in the shadows, next to her on a daily basis and feeding her lies. In fact, she bravely committed to continuing in the wife role to have John elected as President of the United States. She told all of us he was honest and the best man for the job. Little did she know the truth. And it was all about to play out on televison - no where to hide. No dignity left. Humiliation as a wife, mother and work partner. She was supposed to know John thoroughly…she was his wife. Sneaking, surreptitiously John crept and her soul and spirit were exposed and vulnerable...sharing the house, the food, the bed and usurping her energy - energy she needed to fight the cancer.
When the possibility of an affair arose, Elizabeth acted, backed by her soul mate’s reassurance, to deny the possibility of such betrayal. She assured us John was honest and honorable. The sexual partner wanted some recognition, so she and John met in hotels to enjoy their baby. I’m sure she was taking secret pictures to ensure she had the evidence, if needed, to entitle her to a significant future income.
When Elizabeth spoke with Oprah on TV, Elizabeth tried to separate herself from the problem, shew was the mom and wife. She resented this other woman tryign to come in and claim her life. Elizabeth said she worked hard for her life and this new woman would not be allowed to just come in and “takeover.” However, the demon spirit had let this other woman in. The woman could not have come in unless someone close to Elizabeth betrayed her in her time of greatest need. John opened the door and began a series of lies that created a web that sucked the life from Elizabeth. Down, but not dead, Elizabeth rose. Injured and breathless, she stood weakly on her feet…she was on her own and her kids would be her only supporters. Oprah confronted John in the hallway of his house and questioned him about the affair. John had the look of hate and disgust as he tried to answer Oprah’s questions with his trained political grace. His eyes became squinty as he looked at Oprah, casting a negative ray towards the talk-show hostess. Oprah acted as if she did not notice, but if he could have, John would have given her a left to the head. He was still playing the southern gentleman role. Meanwhile, Elizabeth struggled to grab onto any shreds of dignity she could find.
Not yet finished, the other woman moves into a house near Elizabeth and John’s home on an island in South
Carolina. Demons all and carrying an innocent baby…or a future mini demon. Only time will tell.
By now Elizabeth is gasping for air, crawling, begging for family support. "Tell this woman not to move next door on our island" - John is paying.
Then the sex tapes. The other woman was gathering evidence against John and she, a professional photographer, had been taking videos of John having sex. These tapes were found by John’s campaign manager, who became involved in the cover-up. The campaign manager was dependent on John for income, so he told John he would claim to be the father of the baby and let the women hide at his house during the pregnancy. His wife agreed to the scheme. They decided to keep the tapes just in case John tried to abandon them in the end. Of course, John, as the demon, did just that and the existence of the tapes became public. John’s sexual partner claimed the tapes were stolen from the house; the campaign manager claimed the tapes were thrown in the trash and retrieved by his wife during a clean-up outside of her room.
Elizabeth’s story is not very unusual if you watch Jerry Springer or the Maury Povitch Show. It was unusual in that we saw every bit play out in public, because of the election coverage, and the parties were wealthy, educated, people in high level jobs…running for U.S. President. How bizarre.
It was not a surprise that Elizabeth died, but an honor to her strength and will to live so long and fight for every inch of respect she could gather.
As a woman, we understand her story and we pray for her soul. She is now with her son.
John and his girlfriend are probably off partying. For them too the ordeal is ending and, like Camilla Parker Bowles, after the death of Diana, the two of them can now devise a cover story and continue in a fake shroud of respect and normalcy.
God Bless You Elizabeth. We women will not forget.
